Back from Zazmic’s first AI & Security event in Toronto. Canada’s got a really strong and engaged tech community. Hear a quick recap from Yann Kronberg.
Arham: So Yann, earlier last week we had an event in Toronto. Could you talk about what happened there and also why you found Toronto to be a great location to have this conference?
Yann: Our neighbors in the north are pretty active in AI and tech. Toronto is one of the centers of technology in Canada. We’d never had an event there, and we wanted to reach out to them to see if we could create some spark and help our Canadian customers. We might do something in Quebec or Vancouver later; we just want to reach out to Canadian customers.
Arham: What were you there talking about?
Yann: There was a lot of buzz after the Google Next event about Agentspace and Agent Builder. We talked a lot about AI and cybersecurity—that was the main topic. But within AI, we talked and demoed what they could do with Agentspace and Agent Builder, and all the cybersecurity. We showcased the SecOps tool and the Security Command Center product. So there was a crowd, we were full capacity, which was very nice.
Arham: Every time you go to a new place, you definitely come back with a lot of stories from interactions with customers, people who are just curious about what Google is up to, what Zazmic is up to. Could you talk about any experience talking to any customer?
Yann: We met a company that was caring for people in hospitals. They had a solution with radar that was monitoring the motion of their patients and trying to see if there was a problem. So, there were some very innovative customers on the healthcare side.
There were also big names like Wind River, and a lot of different crowds. People were interested in analytics and the latest that happened there. But it was super interesting—lots of involvement and enthusiasm in the conversation. That was good.
Arham: Where are you headed next?
Yann: I think in Canada, we’ll probably go to Quebec this year and do a conference. In the US, we have a bunch of other towns that we like, like Atlanta and New York. And our next event actually, next week, is in San Francisco. So yeah, lots of interest in AI and cybersecurity. Hopefully, we continue having a good crowd there.
