We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join a team building advanced Conversation AI solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with Product, SRE, and Engineering teams to design and deliver scalable backend systems and next-generation platform capabilities.
Responsibilities
Own features across the entire development lifecycle
Develop clean, maintainable, and well-tested backend code
Design and build secure, high-quality REST APIs using an API-first approach
Improve and refactor existing code as the platform evolves
Work with third-party integrations
Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
Maintain technical documentation
Track and communicate progress through Jira
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams
Requirements
7+ years of Java development experience, ideally in SaaS/PaaS environments
Strong experience with Spring / Spring Boot, Maven, and ORM frameworks
Experience building REST APIs and working with OpenAPI/Swagger
Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines
Strong production troubleshooting and debugging skills
Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor)
Ability to quickly adapt to new technical environments
Nice to have
Experience with Python (API development)
Experience with React or similar JavaScript frameworks
