Overview:
Cloud: We extensively use GCP, but our clients commonly have AWS, Heroku, DigitalOcean, OCI, Azure and on-prem systems;
IaC: As SRE professionals, we harness centralized Terraform code to architect our infrastructure. We’re perpetually engaged in refining our code collaboratively. Our implementation encompasses Modules, Workspaces, layers, and a commitment to validated and pristine Terraform code;
Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Alert-manager, Thanos, ElasticSearch, Google Cloud Monitoring, Google Cloud Logging, Google Cloud Trace, Google Cloud Debugger, Google Cloud Error Reporting. We frequently encounter diverse observability stacks with our clients. Experience with other stacks is highly valued and welcomed;
Security: SonarQube for SAST and we are currently studying new stacks for DAST and IAST. We also use Dependabot for dependency evaluation;
Auditing and Compliance Support: A lot of clients have difficulties in adopting compliance standards, but they need to. So, a good knowledge of SOC-2, HIPAA and PCI is welcome.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work directly with remote customers in developing & executing Cloud architecture strategy
- Collaboratively interact with Zazmic teams and clients, actively shaping the customer experience from start to finish
- Guide customers on best practices for cloud-based solutions and facilitate the migration of existing workloads to these solutions
- Participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure cloud solutions are designed for successful deployment
- Educate clients on the value of cloud computing, with a focus on GCP, and support Zazmic's technical teams
- Migrate various platforms to GCP: AWS, Heroku, DigitalOcean, OCI, Azure, and on-prem
- Oversee observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Alert-manager, Thanos, ElasticSearch, Google Cloud Monitoring, and Logging
- Contribute to refining centralized Terraform code for infrastructure architecture, using Modules, Workspaces, and layers
- Handle security using SonarQube for Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and explore new stacks for Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) and Interactive Application Security Testing (IAST)
Requirements:
- 4+ years performing DevOps, SRE or related roles
- Familiarity with Linux Administration (System/Network/Security)
- Production experience with cloud providers: GCP and AWS
- Production experience in deploying and running applications in VMs, Docker containers, Kubernetes, App engine, CloudRun
- Experience in migrating all resources and mostly databases, DNS in complex architectures
- Production experience in write and maintain IaC with Terraform
- Deep understanding in Designing and implementing architecture approaches for new infrastructure components;
- Experience in scaling, performance optimization and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with GitFlow and its usage to support SDLC (releases management, new versions deploy and rollback when needed)
- Databases troubleshooting and support
- Expert knowledge of network protocols and network architectures
- Production experience with Observability: Prometheus and Grafana
- Experience in Shell or Python scripting

About the project:
Client is Cloud Based SaaS application that manages orders for Radiologists and can resolve clients’ issues. Clients are hospitals and groups of hospitals that are situated in different countries worldwide.
This product team develops a Node.js / Angular web application, the product is in the healthcare field. All deployments are containerized in a large distributed architecture. We have co-developed a Healthcare API with Google that is central to our solution.
The product has been developed from scratch and we are already in production. We will increase in multiple times amount of clients soon, now we support around 100 facilities, soon this amount will be over 500.

What we do in the Tracking & Experimentation Team:
Our client, host 400 million monthly active visitors, and assist them to explore the world, and up-level their travel. Client also has a culture of “test and learn” to encourage finding new ways to better serve travelers.
We are responsible for providing software that enables product to better understand visitor preferences in order to enable tailoring our site, app and product offerings to assist them in having more delightful travel experiences. We are also responsible for the software system that empowers Product Managers, General Managers, and Engineering to experiment and test out new innovative ideas across all product surfaces including the website, mobile app, and customer communications in email. These experiments in turn drive millions of dollars of revenue annually.
What you’ll do:
Our client is looking for a Software Engineer II to take this exciting opportunity to join our fast-moving tracking and experimentation group. In this role, you will help us build, upgrade, and sustain successful tracking and experimentation infrastructure to serve the world’s largest and most trusted travel site, visited by over 500 million travelers each month, and the world’s leading travel brands, from large OTAs to independent boutique chains.

What you’ll do:
- Take on projects with independence and a mandate to leave things better than you found them.
- Participate in the planning and initial steps for key changes on the site.
- Be pragmatic when solving problems with a deep understanding of the purpose and goal of your work.
- Touch code at all levels, from client ingestion to data storage, data analysis whatever is required to complete your project. Take responsibility for all aspects of software engineering, from design to implementation, QA, and maintenance.
- Have a CI/CD mindset. Most of our engineers release code to production every few days and we have a daily release cycle.
- Be integral for the code quality on your team through leadership in design and code review. Take responsibility for the quality of the code produced by you and the team
- Operate across our evolving technology stack - we’re developing in Java, React, SQL, and more.
- Collaborate closely with Product and design teams to define feature specifications and develop high quality deliverables for our stakeholders.
- Work alongside other engineering groups located around the world.
On-Call Expectations:
- Each team member is expected to participate in our mandatory on-call program.
- Each on-call shift is scheduled for 1 week at a time
- Shifts rotate every 4 - 5 weeks and will occur less frequently as more engineers are hired and onboarded to the program
- Full shifts or partial days within a shift are swappable with advance notice. Shift swapping is to be coordinated amongst the impacted team members.
- While on-call, a team member may be paged at any point 24x7. This includes, but isn’t limited to, sleeping hours, weekday nights, holidays, etc. Team members are expected to respond to the page and take the necessary action as our official policies describe.
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in commercial software development
- A strong history of development with Java
- Some exposure to the following technologies a plus: HTML5, JavaScript, React, GraphQL, CSS, SQL, Postgres, Linux, Python, Gradle, Apache Tomcat, BERT, Hive, Spark
- Familiarity with Linux
- Familiarity with designing infrastructure on AWS or other cloud providers
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
- Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and OO design
- Willingness and ability to take on new technologies
- Ability to break down complex problems into simple solutions
- Strong analytical skills and desire to write clean, correct, and efficient code
- Sense of ownership, urgency, and pride in your work
- Exposure to developing scalable code for high-volume systems is a plus
Nice to haves:
- Having a data mindset along with Software Engineering expertise. Also, have worked on designing infrastructures that deal with the processing of large data sets.
- Experience working with and processing large quantities of data - Hive, Snowflake, NoSQL databases.

- Sales and Business Development:

- Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) products and services is highly desired.
- Experience selling to enterprise customers in the French OR Dutch markets.
- Consistent track record of exceeding sales quotas and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with senior executives.
- Strong business acumen and ability to understand customer needs and develop tailored solutions.
