POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Security Engineer to join our team. This hands-on, technical role focuses on penetration testing, threat hunting, and advanced security engineering practices. You’ll play a pivotal role in safeguarding our systems and those of our customers by identifying vulnerabilities, testing defenses, and implementing robust security solutions. Additionally, you’ll support customers in achieving and maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct threat hunting and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and enhance detection and response capabilities.
- Deliver clear, accessible technical reports and presentations to customers, detailing findings and proposed solutions.
- Design, implement, and manage SIEM and SOAR platforms for efficient threat detection and automated incident response.
- Oversee Google Security Command Center and Google SecOps for integrated monitoring, threat detection, investigation, and response.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine security policies, procedures, and playbooks.
- Securely design and configure cloud environments to mitigate risk.
- Ensure compliance with frameworks like HIPAA, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
- Stay current with emerging security threats, trends, and technologies, applying insights to enhance our security posture.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, tools, and methodologies (e.g., OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK, NIST).
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with expertise in SIEM and SOAR platforms.
- Proficient in security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to act decisively under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Experience with AWS, GCP or Azure.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience (Nice to Have):
- Hands-on experience with GCP security tools like Security Command Center and Chronicle/SecOps.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GCIH, or similar
- Familiarity with application penetration testing and other SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight, QRadar)
- Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, GDPR).
- Background in software engineering.

- Knowledge of the modern AWS Data Ecosystem, including AWS Glue, AWS Athena, AWS EKS, AWS S3, and AWS Lambda
- Experience developing ETL processes and streaming data pipelines; including defining SLAs and performance monitoring
- Experience with Kotlin.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with senior executives.
