Zazmic is immediately hiring a SRE Engineer to manage the ongoing projects of our growing CloudOps team!

At the forefront of our expansion is the burgeoning CloudOps team – a department dedicated to Cloud Engineering and Operations within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) landscape. You will play a pivotal role in guiding clients through seamless migrations, vigilant monitoring, and efficient management of their GCP infrastructure. Simultaneously, CloudOps navigates the intricate landscape of our internal infrastructure, ensuring we are following best practices. Overview:

  • Cloud: We extensively use GCP, but our clients commonly have AWS, Heroku, DigitalOcean, OCI, Azure and on-prem systems;

  • IaC: As SRE professionals, we harness centralized Terraform code to architect our infrastructure. We’re perpetually engaged in refining our code collaboratively. Our implementation encompasses Modules, Workspaces, layers, and a commitment to validated and pristine Terraform code;

  • Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Alert-manager, Thanos, ElasticSearch, Google Cloud Monitoring, Google Cloud Logging, Google Cloud Trace, Google Cloud Debugger, Google Cloud Error Reporting. We frequently encounter diverse observability stacks with our clients. Experience with other stacks is highly valued and welcomed;

  • Security: SonarQube for SAST and we are currently studying new stacks for DAST and IAST. We also use Dependabot for dependency evaluation;

  • Auditing and Compliance Support: A lot of clients have difficulties in adopting compliance standards, but they need to. So, a good knowledge of SOC-2, HIPAA and PCI is welcome.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with remote customers in developing & executing Cloud architecture strategy
  • Collaboratively interact with Zazmic teams and clients, actively shaping the customer experience from start to finish
  • Guide customers on best practices for cloud-based solutions and facilitate the migration of existing workloads to these solutions
  • Participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure cloud solutions are designed for successful deployment
  • Educate clients on the value of cloud computing, with a focus on GCP, and support Zazmic's technical teams
  • Migrate various platforms to GCP: AWS, Heroku, DigitalOcean, OCI, Azure, and on-prem
  • Oversee observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Alert-manager, Thanos, ElasticSearch, Google Cloud Monitoring, and Logging
  • Contribute to refining centralized Terraform code for infrastructure architecture, using Modules, Workspaces, and layers
  • Handle security using SonarQube for Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and explore new stacks for Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) and Interactive Application Security Testing (IAST)

Requirements:

  • 4+ years performing DevOps, SRE or related roles
  • Familiarity with Linux Administration (System/Network/Security)
  • Production experience with cloud providers: GCP and AWS
  • Production experience in deploying and running applications in VMs, Docker containers, Kubernetes, App engine, CloudRun
  • Experience in migrating all resources and mostly databases, DNS in complex architectures
  • Production experience in write and maintain IaC with Terraform
  • Deep understanding in Designing and implementing architecture approaches for new infrastructure components;
  • Experience in scaling, performance optimization and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with GitFlow and its usage to support SDLC (releases management, new versions deploy and rollback when needed)
  • Databases troubleshooting and support
  • Expert knowledge of network protocols and network architectures
  • Production experience with Observability: Prometheus and Grafana
  • Experience in Shell or Python scripting
  • Experience in maintaining stacks with Node.js, PHP and Wordpress

Would be a plus:

  • Familiar with Agile Methodologies
  • Experience with React, Angular applications deployment
  • Experience with the tools OWASP
  • DB knowledge: Postgres, Redis, ElasticSearch
  • Experience with the estimation process and supporting the sales team to engage new customers
  • Experience with Azure administration
  • Experience with pipelines: GitHub, GitLab CI/CD (zero downtime deployments), ArgoCD, CloudBuild
  • GCP certification is a significant plus, AWS/Azure acceptable as well

      About the project:

      Client is Cloud Based SaaS application that manages orders for Radiologists and can resolve clients’ issues. Clients are hospitals and groups of hospitals that are situated in different countries worldwide.

      This product team develops a Node.js / Angular web application, the product is in the healthcare field. All deployments are containerized in a large distributed architecture. We have co-developed a Healthcare API with Google that is central to our solution.

      The product has been developed from scratch and we are already in production. We will increase in multiple times amount of clients soon, now we support around 100 facilities, soon this amount will be over 500.

      Besides maintaining the product we are working on new custom and technical features, improving the performance of the platform, and a few new major milestones in progress. Also, we have a few subprojects based on client architecture.

      Client offers an end to end Radiology Solution that brings the power of modern computing technology to the field of Radiology in a meaningful way, while remembering that our goal is to always assist the radiologist, never to replace them.

      — As basic we are using standard git-flow but we added some minor changes to It. This change depends on our environments and our release process. The lifecycle of the developer’s tasks based on scrum (3 weeks sprints), ops team is working by kanban style.

      — We have a code review process by 6 BE and 2 FE experienced developers and a knowledge-sharing process for all team members weekly.

      — We have a bunch of various processes, some of them are main and some of them are added to make the life of the team and project better. Here is the list of basic ones:

            We are seeking a talented, experienced, Software Engineer to help develop and integrate machine learning models into backend systems and infrastructure. Candidates will create backend components, services, and APIs to support the deployment, scalability, and operation of models and solutions.

            We leverage Kubernetes and a variety of open source software (e.g. Kubeflow, Seldon, Istio, Mlflow) to train and deploy over one hundred models serving a billion requests per day.

            What you will do:

            • Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to build backend systems and integrate models into them.
