We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer with hands-on experience in designing, building, and optimizing cloud-native architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate understands modern infrastructure practices, automation, CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and cost-efficient cloud solution design.

Let's talk about You:

  • Strong programming experience in one or more languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java, TypeScript, etc.).
  • Practical experience with Terraform and other IaC frameworks.
  • Hands-on knowledge of GCP compute options:
  • - Compute Engine, Cloud Run, App Engine (Standard/Flexible), GKE, Managed Instance Groups
  • Understanding of when to use AlloyDB vs. Cloud SQL, and experience loading, transforming, and querying data in BigQuery.
  • Solid grasp of ETL pipeline patterns and services (Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Composer, Storage, BigQuery).
  • Experience with AI/ML workloads and GPU configurations is a plus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot latency, autoscaling, performance, and architecture gaps in customer environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud cost optimization strategies, especially for Logging and BigQuery.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP and Assured Workloads.

What you will do:

  • Cloud Architecture & Engineering:
  • Design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions on GCP.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate compute services (Compute Engine, Cloud Run, App Engine, GKE, MIGs) based on workload requirements and cost-efficiency.
  • Architect solutions leveraging GCP services for AI/ML, storage, networking, and compute — including GPU-powered workloads where necessary.
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines from scratch using modern DevOps practices.
  • Infrastructure as Code & Automation:
  • Develop infrastructure using Terraform or similar IaC tools.
  • Automate deployments, scaling strategies, and configuration management across environments.
  • Implement best practices for operational efficiency, monitoring, and performance tuning.
  • Data, Logging, and ETL:
  • Work with BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and ETL frameworks such as Dataflow, Composer, or Pub/Sub.
  • Optimize Cloud Logging and BigQuery costs using recommended best practices for data ingestion, partitioning, and retention.
  • Enable compliant architectures leveraging Assured Workloads, FedRAMP, and other regulatory frameworks where needed.
  • Cloud-Native Application Enablement:
  • Recommend appropriate services based on use cases:
  • - App Engine (Standard/Flexible) vs. Cloud Run
  • - GKE for Kubernetes-based workloads and GPU time-sharing capabilities
  • - MIGs for large-scale, autoscaling compute workloads
  • Diagnose performance issues such as Cloud Run cold starts, applying solutions like minimum instances and startup CPU boosts.
  • Implement messaging architectures using RabbitMQ equivalents such as Pub/Sub and configure dead-letter queues/topics.
  • Governance, Security & Platform Foundations:
  • Configure organizations, folders, IAM policies, landing zones, and best-practice environments inside the GCP console.
  • Apply security controls and architectural patterns compliant with industry and government standards.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record selling cloud solutions, is confident navigating the Google Cloud ecosystem, and excels at collaborating with partners and Google stakeholders to deliver impactful customer outcomes.

    Let's talk about You:

    • Proven track record selling cloud or SaaS solutions, ideally within the Google Cloud ecosystem.
    • Experience working with diverse customer segments and managing multi-stakeholder enterprise deals.
    • Strong understanding of cloud economics, solution architecture fundamentals, and modern cloud use cases.
    • Ability to balance outbound sales motion with partner-driven demand generation.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Familiarity with Google Cloud partner incentive programs is a strong plus.

    What you will do:

    • Cloud Solution Sales:
    • Lead end-to-end sales cycles for Google Cloud solutions: from pipeline generation and qualification to negotiation and closing.
    • Sell into various customer segments, including SMB, Mid-Market, and Enterprise.
    • Manage deals of varying size and complexity, with a clear understanding of typical deal structures and sales cycles.
    • Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline through a balanced mix of outbound prospecting, partner-driven leads, and co-selling motions.
    • Execute value-based selling, positioning Google Cloud solutions to address customer business and technical challenges.
    • GCP Knowledge & Value Positioning:
    • Maintain strong proficiency across Google Cloud Platform products and services (e.g., Compute Engine, BigQuery, Vertex AI, Apigee, Cloud Run).
    • Articulate GCP’s value proposition and key differentiators vs. AWS, Azure, and other providers.
    • Present relevant use cases, success stories, and ROI-driven narratives that demonstrate the tangible impact of GCP adoption.
    • Understand and leverage Google partner programs, incentives, and MDF/Co-Op funding opportunities (e.g., PSF, Partner Advantage).
    • Partner & Channel Collaboration:
    • Collaborate closely with Google Cloud sellers and Partner Development Managers to align on sales priorities and joint go-to-market activities.
    • Maintain strong partner trust by driving predictable execution, transparent communication, and shared pipeline management.
    • Effectively utilize Google’s technical resources (Customer Engineers, Solution Architects, funding programs, etc.) to accelerate deals and enhance customer value.
    • Represent Zazmic as a trusted Google Premier Partner, helping customers adopt, optimize, and expand their use of GCP.
